About Wheb Ventures Ltd
WHEB Ventures invests in cleantech companies with high-growth potential, from initial product commercialisation stage through to expansion stage.

WHEB Ventures is one of the pioneers in the European clean technology sector.
WHEB began as an award winning clean technology incubator and corporate finance group in 1995, and has evolved into the UK’s first dedicated cleantech venture capital firm. WHEB Ventures closed its first fund in May 2005.

The firm’s partners are Ben Goldsmith, James McNaught-Davis, Kim Heyworth and Rob Wylie. The partners combine many years of experience in clean technology, technology commercialisation, venture capital, and corporate and government policy, and have an extensive network of specialist contacts.

WHEB's network is further enhanced by its sister company

Ruston WHEB, the leading executive search firm in the clean technology sector.

This puts WHEB in a unique position to source, evaluate and add considerable value to cleantech investment opportunities.

WHEB's first fund of £24million is now invested across eight cleantech companies.  In July 2008, WHEB achieved a first closing of its second fund, in excess of its target, at £57million.  There will be further closings over the next 12 months before target final closing at £150million during 2009
