Exosect is delighted to announce an investment of £2.7m ($5m) in the company by a consortium of investors. The lead investor, WHEB Ventures was supported by co-investments from Foursome Investments and The Entrepreneur's Fund BV.
Rob Wylie, Director of WHEB Ventures said, “Exosect's novel delivery system could lead to a significant reduction in the volume of pesticides used in crop protection and pest control in line with what Governments are demanding and what the market wants. Having spent several years tracking the impressive development of Exosect we see this as a great opportunity”.
John Chandler, Managing Director of Exosect expressed great delight in making this announcement, “Now that we are securing product registrations for our pheromone mating disruption systems, Exosex, in US, South Africa, UK and other EU countries, our focus is now turning towards our ‘Ultra Low Dose' pest control technique using our proven powder delivery systems, Exolure. This new investment is very timely in bringing to market a whole new range of ‘lure and kill' solutions to all market sectors.”
